Ionic Rare Earths is developing the Makuutu rare earth project in Uganda, one of Africa's most advanced ionic clay rare earth deposits with significant heavy rare earth content. The company has achieved strong community engagement and environmental approvals, progressing toward becoming Uganda's first rare earth producer. Ionic represents the advancement of ionic clay processing technology outside of traditional Chinese operations, potentially opening up similar deposits globally.
