Primary Data Sources

REE Tracker aggregates data from authoritative institutional sources to provide accurate, up-to-date information on the global rare earth supply chain:

  • ASX Filings – Quarterly production reports, investor presentations, and announcements from Australian Securities Exchange listed companies
  • SEC Filings – 10-K annual reports, 10-Q quarterly reports, and 8-K current reports from U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
  • Company Investor Relations – Official press releases, technical reports, and feasibility studies
  • Government Reports – Critical minerals strategies, geological surveys, and resource assessments
  • Industry Publications – Technical papers, conference presentations, and peer-reviewed research

Verification Process

Every data point undergoes a multi-step verification process:

  1. Cross-reference against multiple primary sources
  2. Validate geographic coordinates using official project documentation
  3. Confirm supply chain relationships through offtake agreements and public announcements
  4. Track project status changes through continuous monitoring of regulatory filings
  5. Regular audits to ensure data freshness and accuracy

Data Currency

Last comprehensive verification: January 4, 2026

Supply chain data is continuously updated as new information becomes available through:

  • Quarterly earnings cycles (ASX/SEC reporting seasons)
  • Material project announcements and commissioning updates
  • New offtake agreements and supply chain partnerships
  • Production milestone achievements

Data Classifications

We classify projects and facilities according to their operational status:

  • Operating – Currently producing and shipping rare earth materials
  • Under Construction – Physical construction underway with defined timelines
  • Advanced Development – Completed feasibility studies, financing secured or advanced
  • Exploration/Study – Pre-feasibility or scoping study stage
  • Care & Maintenance – Temporarily suspended operations with preservation measures

Supply Chain Link Validation

Supply chain connections are only displayed when supported by:

  • Publicly announced offtake agreements
  • Confirmed feedstock supply relationships
  • Documented material flow contracts
  • Corporate ownership structures (integrated operations)

Proposed or speculative relationships are not included unless officially announced by the parties involved.

2026 Production Milestones

Projects and facilities marked with 2026 target years are tracked based on:

  • Company-announced commissioning schedules
  • First production guidance from investor presentations
  • Construction progress reports and regulatory approvals
  • Updated timelines from quarterly operational updates

Note: Target years are subject to change based on project execution, permitting, and market conditions.
