The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) operates Canada's first commercial rare earth processing facility capable of producing separated rare earth oxides. The pilot-scale facility was established with Canadian federal funding to demonstrate rare earth separation capability and support the development of Canadian rare earth projects. SRC represents government investment in establishing domestic processing capability as a strategic national asset and has been processing material from various Canadian rare earth projects.
