MP Materials NdPr Production
Scaling NdPr Restores US Independence
MP Materials has commissioned its Stage 2 assets to separate rare earth oxides domestically. The production of Neodymium-Praseodymium (NdPr) oxide is the critical success metric for this transition.
Unlike the REO concentrate, which is an intermediate product, NdPr oxide is the direct input for high-strength magnet manufacturing. The ramp-up of this production line marks the first time in decades that significant quantities of separated rare earths have been produced at commercial scale in the United States.
What the Chart Shows
- ■Blue Bars (NdPr Oxide Production)
Metric tonnes of separated NdPr Oxide produced. This figure tracks the operational success of the Stage 2 separation circuits.
- ●Red Line (Sales Revenue)
Revenue displayed is the specific revenue attributable to NdPr Oxide sales.
