Revival attempt by Vietnam Rare Earth (VRE) stalled after VRE executives arrested for tax evasion in 2023. USGS halved Vietnam's expected rare earth output in 2023 as a result. No confirmed operational restart as of April 2026. Operated by Lavreco (Toyota Tsusho / Sojitz JV) until ~2015 when production ceased.
