Russia holds an estimated 3.8 million MT of rare earth reserves and produces roughly 2,700 MT/year, primarily from Lovozersky GOK in the Kola Peninsula. Despite significant geological endowment, geopolitical isolation following 2022 sanctions has constrained investment and export markets, redirecting most output towards domestic and Chinese buyers.
